Santa Ana

This project involves a little bit of a mixture of different responsabilities, such as enhancing the brand an how it could then be translated into the website, collaboration with the awesome client and his team and also enhancing the way the features of the website were given to the users.

Why a Change Was Needed?

The Our Santa Ana website was lacking the personality that reflects a Santanero, spark and, intuitiveness.

Here is a better preview of the Our Santa Ana previous design. Some of the key elements to enhance were: Not a well definition of the different sections, some text could not be read due to lack of contrast, not understanding what the site can offer and, missing brand application/personality.

Colorfull Details

The Santa Ana (CA) charm, inspired the colorfull choices applied thorough the website to highlight elements.

Shapes and colors were inspired by all the murals and vibrancy that the city has to offer whenever you look.

The different generated shapes were applied into different backgrounds that helped defined sections thorough the site.

Different elements working together in sections of the page, being alinged with the brand's personality and charm.

The Process of Design Concepts and Iterations

The following are a set of design concepts that offer solutions to the differnet user needs and to better define the personality of the brand thorough the website. Some of the following concepts and solutions had to change due to the availability of development time. "Our Santa Ana" is still a promissing project in development.

A 12 column grid layout was used for pc devices

A 4 columns grid layout was used for mobile devices

Search Section Concept

The idea was to implement the colorfull and vibrant concept to elements that were within the different sections of the site, such as; the highlights to selected items, the colors used in the buttons and the distinctive black border surrounding the elements.

Santa Ana Social

The idea was to show a way to easily connect and share experiences from the people in Santa Ana directly to the site, showing others what meant to be a Santanero.

To simplify the concept, the idea evolved to a section that was going to highlight the newest events and offers that Santa Ana has to offer.
